Therapeutic Foster Care Supervisor

Kori is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master’s Degree in Counseling and supervises the Beyond Fostering Program. She has worked at Norris in various roles, from an Advanced Youth Care Practitioner & Shift Coordinator in the residential treatment program to a TFC Coordinator & Intern in the Beyond Fostering Program. Kori is certified in the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT) and completes assessments on youth in our program to inform our practice with evidence-based interventions based on the youth’s current level of development and brain function. Kori also has experience working with substance recovery services, community/mental health counseling, case management, and mentoring.
Kori brings both professional and personal experience to fostering, as she has been a licensed foster parent, has adopted from foster care, and has had personal experience with her family fostering youth during her adolescence. Kori strives to empower our foster parents to create positive change and understand their power/impact in the foster care system. Since childhood, she has had a passion for helping others and believes in taking a humanistic approach to interactions with youth/families. Kori enjoys self-expression through any/all art modalities, is an avid animal lover, and enjoys paddle board yoga.
