Meet Renee Lutz, one of our newer “Shining Stars” who instantly became known around campus due to her constant upbeat attitude and always smiling face.
Renee joined the Norris team as an Advanced Youth Care Practitioner in March of 2018, moving to Wisconsin from Illinois…just another reason to celebrate her! Although she states she doesn’t really care much about sports teams in Wisconsin, we’re working on it…and when asked to share a favorite Norris memory in her short time here she quickly responded “taking the boys to the Brewer games!”
While having absolutely immersed herself in her work and dedication to the young men at Norris, Renee spends as much of her free time as possible with her daughter Shalyn and granddaughter Briley, and she simply glows when talking about them. Her other passion…her new baby guinea pig named Izzie! We think he’s a pretty lucky “piggy” based on how she spoils him!
Renee has mostly lived in the Midwest, but dreams of traveling, someday, to both Bora Bora and Ireland. But for now, she’s happy with her busy life in Wisconsin.
And as for her work at Norris, Renee says very simply, “despite the occasional stressful nature of the work, she’s here because she loves helping”. Her only advice to new staff members joining Norris is quite simple…“Be here because you care”. It’s very evident that is why Renee is here…and we’re glad she is!
