Please welcome Norris in saying CONGRATULATIONS to Zach Orr on being chosen as our October Employee Spotlight Winner!!  Thank you Zach, for your ongoing commitment and support to our youth!!

How long have you worked at Norris and in what positions? 

I started at Norris on July 12th 2021 as a Residential Care Specialist. 

What is your favorite Norris memory?

My Favorite memory has been the 2021 Bake Off because I won.

What is your favorite song of all time?

Maxwell by Fortunate

What was the last gift that you gave to someone? 

I gave my wife a car.

What were you like in high school? 

In high school I was like any one of our kids.

If you received enough money to never need to work again, what would you spend your time doing? 

Running a Bed and Breakfast

What is your favorite food to prepare (or eat)? 

Fried Catfish

When was the last time you traveled somewhere new? 

Vegas but that’s a regular but it is a new experience every time.

How do you spend your free time?

My feet ‘heart level high in my recliner watching westerns.

What is your most useless talent?

I can remember useless facts.

Who would play you in the Lifetime original movie of your teen years?

Chris Brown

What is the best advice that you have been given from staff when you started working here?

Steve – Titles and Positions don’t mean nothing to him. Just get the job done.

What would be your best advice for new staff at Norris?

Leave your personal baggage outside. No one will steal it, you can pick it up when you leave.

What is the last thing that you’ve done that’s worth remembering? 

Spoke at my dad’s funeral. Something I thought I would never do.
